Part of Xerox's FreeFlow(R) Digital Workflow Collection, Web Services 7.0 is a complete online print solution that lets print providers process job orders, manage production and stay connected with their customers. For print buyers, version 7.0 offers personalization capabilities and 24-hour access to quotes, PDF proofs and job status reports.
"The ability to automate the process from job submission to delivery not only frees up administrative and scheduling time for print operators, it enables them to grow business and increase revenue by taking on more jobs," said Deb Cantabene, vice president, Workflow and Solutions Marketing, Xerox Corporation. "Web Services 7.0 rolls everything a print provider needs into one package - eliminating multiple vendors and headaches."
Customers looking to personalize jobs will benefit from Web Services 7.0's ability to support basic text and image customization with interactive previews. For example, real estate agents can log-on to the Web portal and submit personalized orders, such as business cards, sell sheets and collateral materials. Jobs adhere to the pre-determined brand standards of the real estate company and agents can view their proofs prior to printing.
With no HTML programming needed to set-up or implement Web Services 7.0, print providers can easily create personalized customer templates, offer cross-market products, promote new services and stay relevant with their customers.
Web Services 7.0 also can integrate with the following enhanced customization tools:
-- VIPP(R) (Variable Information PostScript Printware) Emitter, Xerox software for producing customized print jobs, makes it possible for any VIPP-enabled print server to achieve optimal variable printing.
-- DirectSmile(R) Image Generator incorporates personalized images into a Web Services template.
-- XMPie(R) PersonalEffect(R) Adapter integrates a Web ordering capability for variable campaigns.
